Cancellation policy

What you are subscribing to. The Adventures of Gotham Girl is a monthly snail mail subscription. Each month, one envelope is mailed to the address you provide at checkout. It contains a letter written by Gotham Girl about that month's New York City adventure, a collectible card, a keepsake from the trip, and a hint about next month. The keepsakes vary by destination and are not the same every month.

Billing. When you subscribe, you are charged the price shown at checkout for your first month. Your subscription then renews automatically at the regular monthly price shown at checkout, on the same day each month, until you cancel. Six-month and one-year plans are billed in full at checkout and renew automatically at the end of each term at the price shown at checkout unless cancelled before the renewal date. The regular price, the renewal schedule, and the total you will be charged are shown before you confirm your order.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time with one email to help@gothamgirl.nyc. We cancel the same business day and confirm by reply. There is no account to log into and no form to fill out. Cancellation stops all future charges. If you cancel after a month has been billed, that month's envelope still mails and no refund is issued for it. Six-month and one-year plans can be cancelled to stop renewal; the remaining envelopes in a prepaid term are still mailed, and prepaid terms are not refunded once the first envelope of the term has mailed. Your first envelope is covered by the first adventure guarantee in our Refund policy.

Pausing. If you would rather pause than cancel, email us. We can hold your subscription for up to two months.

Mailing schedule. Envelopes mail on the 1st of every month. Subscribe by 11:59pm Eastern on the last day of the month and the next month’s adventure is your first envelope. Orders placed after that are included in the following month's mailing.

Address changes. Email us your new address at least five days before the 1st.

Gifts. Any plan can be sent to another address in any country we mail to.
